I run Linux platforms that have to pass an audit.
I design and run Kubernetes for customers at Orange Business. The PCI DSS Linux environments I run have made it through their security audits. I also lead a project for redundant payment HSMs across data centres.
The work
The clusters are K3s and MKS on RHEL. GitOps goes through Argo CD. Cilium handles networking, and secrets live in OpenBao and Vault. Ansible and CI/CD do the routine changes. When I need to know what actually happened, I am in Splunk or Elastic.
A lot of it runs under PCI DSS, so "probably fine" is not a deployment strategy. The HSM side is redundant Thales PayShield and Luna. I write the change so the person on the next shift can follow it. I will take a dull pipeline over automation that hides what it did.
I came up through operations. Senior on the incident team at Orange Business before consulting, mostly RHEL and Azure, nights and weekends on the roster. I mentored apprentices through their trade exam. Before that, first and second line at HDO in Gjøvik, supporting AMK centres, out-of-hours clinics, and A&E on Norway's emergency network. Trade certificate with distinction. I am glad I did that work. I am not trying to get back on the incident roster.
After hours
The homelab is K3s. Claude Code and OpenCode started after hours and now show up in the day job. If a project lasts more than a weekend it lands with the other things I made or on the blog. ModelTable is the newest, a live LLM price table on one Cloudflare Worker. PixelWitness is a browser extension that scores images for likely AI generation without sending them off the machine.
